Bath Salts

Bath Salts

Bath salts refer to the designer drugs that are being marketed to young teens and young adults as a way to get high without having to pay a lot of money and without having to obtain the drugs illegally. Millions of people began using these drugs when they first came on the market and today bath salts are slowly being banned from selling and possessing due their dangerous side effects.

These drugs state clearly on the label that they are not for human consumption, but it has been said that this warning is just a way for the sellers to not have to worry about legal issues if people consume them and suffer fatal side effects. Bath salts appear to be white crystals that are similar to the appearance of Epsom salts. You can obtain these drugs in a convenient store, over the internet, in smoke shops and through drug dealers (in cities that have banned the drugs).

Bath salts in the media

In recent months there have been more and more cases of people getting high on bath salts and acting as if they are no longer in their right state of mind. For example, in Miami several weeks ago a young African American male was killed due to his inability to cooperate with police while he was literally eating another man. The older Caucasian white male lived, but sustained severe wounds due to the man under the influence of bath salts. Another case was when a Caucasian woman from Pennsylvania gave birth to your child in the hospital and after remaining inside of the hospital for the usual one to two days after delivery she then became aggressive and out of her mind screaming, kicking and even assaulting a nurse present at the location.
